Submissions

William Hill Irish Sports Book of the Year 2011– Rules

 

* The William Hill Irish Sports Book of the Year is open to any full length sports book where the author is Irish or the book is of Irish sporting interest.

* The book must have been published for the first time in the Republic of Ireland after the 31st of October 2010 and before the 31st of October 2011.

* The closing date of nominations by publishers is the 16th of October. All nominations must be received via email by this date.

* In exceptional circumstances the judging panel reserves the right to admit additional books after the specified closing date for nominations.

 

 

 

All nominations must be made via email to dlee@ohcpr.ie  and should include the following details

 

* Name of the book

* Author of the book

* Name of the publishing house

* Contact details for a liaison within the publishing house for the award

* A blurb from each nominated book on the content

* A blurb from each nominated book on the author

* A jpeg of the book cover

* The publishers must supply 18 copies of each nominated book to the address below.

* The winning publisher will be required to supply additional copies of the book for promotional purposes.

* The judges of the award will be responsible for compiling a shortlist of no more than six titles.

* The publisher of the winning title agrees to use the “William Hill Irish Sports Book of the Year 2011” logo as a front cover flash for any subsequent reprints of the winning title, hardback or paperback.

 

 

NOTE: Any publisher submitting an entry for this award is automatically bound by these rules.
